Take Two recently released its financial results for 2005. Amid lots of sales figures, statistics, percentages, and such, one announcement stands out - Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is coming to the PS2 in Q2 2006. Yep, the PSP's own GTA will be available to PS2 owners as well later this year. At this time, it's not known whether the PS2 version will be just a straight port or feature some extras. We'll have to wait for an official game announcement to find out.

Also confirmed in the report is that another GTA title will be released for PSP in 2006, though nothing is known about it yet.

More on this surprising announcement as it comes...

PS3 will be #1 on my shopping list for later this year. LCS is essentially GTA3 and i've no real desire to do that again. GTA needs some major revamps before it'll impress me again. The last current gen games i'll be buying are Tomb Raider Legend (because its more or less the same as the first) and Resident Evil 4.

I was tempted to buy an Xbox 360 but it looks shite. The graphics look very similar to my PC's, and online has an annual £40 fee on top of broadband, plus i hear you're paying for broadband that lags like hell. The PS2 actually out-sold the 360 in Japan. Looks like Dreamcast v2.0.

PS3 is the future. Blu-Ray, HD and some nice looking games. Check out Project-IM and Killzone. It can even replicate CGI used in a few movies. Throw in possible homebrew, backwards compatibility and you've got a winner.
