Well it could just go into General Politics but considering it's importance, you may be right that an individual forum may be warranted. good call, Roadkill.

It's a good idea...But only if the section is called the 'occupied six counties', Any other name, i.e Northern Ireland, or Ulster section would only lend legitimacy to the British presance there.

LOL.
A northern-six counties-etc section was inevitable and long overdue, but it's just more of the same channeled go nowhere thinking. Geographic nationalism is meaningless without an ethnic component.

Why would you assume an intention to discuss without mention of an ethnic component, especially in light of the way the rest of the site is orientated?

"Dear fellow" - are you up in the House of Lords now, Milesian? I'm sceptical of Famine myths, yes, and I'm also sceptical of the politics that are entrenched on the Irish side in the north. The 'troubles' started from the civil rights movement, modeled on MLK and all that baloney, and the politics there carry implicit assumptions about racial equality that I'm not comfortable with. Today there is a left monopoly in NI, when you leave out the unionists. What's that all about? The left only gets 20% in the south.

I have a feeling that this is about fitting in to existing ideologies to be proper nationalists. I hope I'm wrong.
